1. Spanish-language
and/or ESL Teachers at the Primary, Junior High, Senior High, or Community College
levels.
Spanish and ESL language teachers from primary, junior and senior high
school levels, and the community college level are invited to apply for the
academic year exchange program. Please note that priority is given to
Spanish language and/or ESL teachers from the United States. This exchange
program matches a U.S. teacher with a Mexican counterpart for a direct
simultaneous school to school exchange. Applicants should be aware that most
Mexican public schools have larger class sizes than do schools in the U.S.
Requirements:
Be a U.S. citizen.
Be fluent in English.
Hold at least a
Bachelor’s degree.
Have a current
full-time teaching (with at least three years of full-time teaching).
Have not participated
in a Fulbright Teacher Exchange longer than eight weeks in the last two
years.
Benefits:
Matching to Mexican
institution.
Health insurance for
the US grantee.
Round trip air ticket
for the U.S. grantee (up to $1,000 USD).
Processing of the FM3
Mexican visa for the grantee and dependants.
$500 to purchase school materials, books, audio-visual equipment to be
donated to the Mexican host institution.
