Previous Years:
In this section of the FHSS webpage you will find numerous curriculum projects that have
been created by the participants (American teachers) in this Summer Seminar. These projects are based on their
Fulbright experiences in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Canada. They are ready for immediate classroom use for the
teaching of Spanish-language and Mexican culture, society, history, and politics. We encourage American teachers
of Spanish language, culture, history, politics and society to use these curriculum projects in their classrooms.
The projects, about 30 in total, are designed for the junior and senior high school programs and, in some cases,
community college levels as well. Each one includes the appropriate grade level, learner objectives, lesson plans,
guided discussion questions, materials, and teaching resources. Download the unit plans which also include the
time-frame per lesson, specific charts, graphs and outline of the project.
